I was born on June 18th 1968 and grew up in what we call today one of the « hot areas » of Nice « Les Moulins ». In spite of the fact that I was born into a loving, protecting family (something that is ever so precious to us in the times in which we live), I was nevertheless influenced by the environment of social distress that surrounded me, to the extent that my own behavior and attitude started taking a turn for the worse.

Finally, one day, my father stepped in, pulled me out and gave me the appropriate punishment which in the end prevented me and ultimately protected me from going out and hanging around with “undesirable’s influences”.

And today, as I look back, I am eternally grateful to my father for having done so.

I was beginning to realize that I needed to establish relationships that were based on high moral standards which would in turn influenced my own outlook on life.

Amazingly enough, that door opened up for me through an encounter with a sport called “field hockey”, an activity which is not popular even today but one that kept me off the street and out of trouble.

I quickly fell in love with this sport and soon learned the importance and the values of a “team spirit” and what it really means. For example, when individualism is set aside and sacrificed in favor of developing a group attitude of fair play.

Being part of the number one hockey team brought me into contact with some very influential people who I considered today as my real teachers, who provided me with a solid foundation to build on and also with whom I could talk openly with, which enabled me to reason and think wisely.

Consequently, they helped me to develop my personal identity and the fact that they were present at a certain time in my life had a tremendous impact on me.

Today, families need more than ever, benevolent people, adults who are willing to give of their time by supporting them which would in turn help to develop a child’s character and personal identity.

Through passionate and dedicated work, these volunteers can restore and offer hope to those who suffer either through lack or loss of it. They will also have a positive influence upon these children through their attitude and way of behaving.

If we would just set aside a little time to play with and listen to them, showing that we love them, we can communicate certain rules and values that will stimulate their emotional capacities as well as teaching them that there are certain boundaries and limits that must be respected in order to protect them.

The following stage in my life was influenced by a profound and amazing experience, something that marked me for life. It was through a daily reading that I was suddenly overwhelmed with the desire to know the truth about who I really am, that I finally met up with The One who is my savior in the person of Jesus-Christ. In just a few words, I would like to share with you my own personal experience, since each experience is ever so personal and unique.

In terms of impact and reference, God’s love had the capacity to produce within me a tremendous change, a complete transformation and it was through this metamorphosis of self that I learned the most.

I know and understand now that God has forgiven me and that he gave me the most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus, just because He loves me and even more so, I realized that He loved me long before I became interested in Him.

This is the most beautiful experience that took place in my life, an experience which had such a profound effect upon me that nothing else or anyone else in this world could have produced.

So in exchange, I want to be like Him, He who is the Greatest Teacher and Pedagogue.

Anyone who accept him for who He is and chooses to commit his or her life to Him can and will be transformed into is likeness through the feeling of His love.

God is The One who changes and transformed the most difficult impossible situation and in return, He gives hope, no matter what the circumstances may be.

This is a message of love and hope that we would like to share and communicate with these families.
